Sketch 64 is UP!

Check it all out at Triple the Sketch

Click here to see the sketch

Here's my take on it...another altered canvas :) (Sorry for the bad photos....I tried SEVERAL times...something about all the dark being on all the white, it just didn't work so good!)

Hope your weekend is off to a good start!

New Salt Challenge is Up!

The topic this round is Prayer.

You can find Mona's thoughts on the topic HERE at the Salt Faith Challenge blog.

Pastor Mark just finished a series on prayer in May (they are all here if you're interested in taking a listen). Basically we went through what good prayer is and isn't. Pretty eye/heart opening, I'll tell ya!

I chose to make an ATC again (hope you don't get tired of these!)...I'm really enjoying using my own doodles on my creations lately. My poor neglected stamps :)

You have to look close, but I stamped "pray" in distress ink up the side and stamped the Worn Grid background (Unity Stamp Co) on the whole thing.

On taking photos....
On a completely unrelated topic, I've been using the aperture mode on my camera to take my photos, and I'm loving the results. I took this picture at 11:00 last night. No sun, an ceiling lamp overhead and my new favourite setting. Gotta love when you don't have to wait for a good sun day to get a good photo. OH, and I do use paint.net (FREE download people!!) to adjust (when needed) brightness/contrast, saturation and sharpness. SO fast and easy. I'd recommend this program to anyone who can't afford Photoshop.
Just my 2 cents :)

Thanks for coming to look!

More Shortcuts Cards

Don't forget to check out the new CAARDVARKS CHALLENGE!

Here's another card I created with the Shortcuts frosted acetate sheets.

And I used my EAD Designs vinyl rub ons. I can't say enough about how amazing these things are. The are SO VIBRANT, completely easy to use, rub on like a charm and stick like glue.
Pretty amazing value too.

On the inside, I made a little pocket for the tag, just so you couldn't see the writing through the front of the clear card.

Thanks for looking!

Bookmarks for the teachers...

Whipped these up last night, still under the influence of Donna Downey's Inpiration Wednesday topic of playing with your own handwriting.
I'm quite happy with them. I think I need to make myself one now :)

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a GREAT weekend!+
